Mateca rediscovered her love and passion for "Tango" after leaving her native Argentina. The deep sense of rootlessness drew her closer to what had been an important part of her heritage. Mateca Productions was founded in 1987 and has worked and represented Latin American artists and musicians. As part of the portfolio, Mateca has also been the consultant for some Toronto based companies working with Latin America in the fields of Culture & Tourism, as well as in multidisciplinary events in the "arts".
